Junior BJJ Classes

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an excellent martial art for children as the skills are based on technique and leverage, rather than size or strength. Jiu Jitsu requires the entire body to be used when performing techniques and movements. Children are able to build valuable motor skills, coordination, resiliency, self- defence and confidence while having loads of fun during class. Junior classes typically involve warm up drills, technique practice, sparring and games. A typical class runs for approximately 45 minutes.

Adults BJJ Classes

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an excellent martial art for adults as the skills are based on technique and leverage, rather than size or strength. Jiu Jitsu requires the entire body to be used when performing techniques and movements. Adults can expect to gain valuable skills in self- defence, body mechanics, grappling and fitness in a typical Jiu Jitsu class. Everyone is welcome to train together regardless of age, experience or personal goals. Adults classes typically involve warm up drills, takedowns, technique practice and sparring. A typical class runs for approximately 60 minutes.

Open Mat Sessions

Open Mats are designed for open learning, sparring and social interaction between members. Members are encouraged to share experiences and skills during these sessions. Those wanting to roll and do more sparring are especially encouraged to attend Open mat Sessions. There is no set structure or lesson- it’s about extra time on the mats and rolling!
